The Mind Of A Hopeful Fortnite Pro: Q&A with Ksin

Not every pro Fortnite player is already in the spotlight. Some are in the trenches – grinding, improving, building their rep one clip and one community post at a time. That’s where Polish player Ksin (also known as Yolomahdudes) stands.

He isn’t making Grand Finals every season (yet), and he’s not pulling in huge earnings – but he’s become a fixture in the r/FortniteCompetitive community for his gameplay clips, helpful attitude, and authentic passion for improvement.

That’s exactly why we wanted to highlight him here on clancamp.gg … sometimes, the journey to go pro is just as compelling as actually getting there.

Below is our full written Q&A, where he talks about the comp grind, the underrated keys to improvement, and, of course, his Fortnite Mount Rushmore.

🎯 Why do you want to go pro in Fortnite? What’s driving you?

Yolomahdudes:

My main drive is my passion for the game – believing I could do it. It’s the same motive for many others, so nothing really special there.

💼 How do you define “going pro”? Is it about earnings, Grands, org recognition, something else?

Yolomahdudes:

If you’re talking about being a Tier 1 pro, I’d say it means that if Fortnite were your only source of income, you could live a comfortable life.

📅 What does your day-to-day grind look like right now

Yolomahdudes:

Warm up, scrims, 3v3s, and off-spawn prac. That’s honestly the most I can do for now, since there are no tourneys.

He also mentioned using Noble and Poyo for scrims, and running custom keys for off-spawn practice. For 3v3s, he focuses on Realistics against players better than or equal to him.

💬 You’re super active on r/FortniteCompetitive. Why do you spend time there?

Yolomahdudes:

I like sharing my achievements or clips I hit (and people enjoy them), and I like helping. I’ve helped a lot of people with their problems from that subreddit.

🧠 What do most people not understand about improving in comp Fortnite?

Yolomahdudes:

The main thing I see is not understanding the core mechanics of the game – mainly zones. How to position, when to go. That’s what separates a 500 PR player from a 6K PR player.

Confidence plays a big factor too, as well as awareness. People always talk about getting good at fighting etc., but awareness is one of those things that’s just so overlooked.

My main way to overcome 2K PR when I was stuck on it was when we got a coach – Captor. Thanks to that, I understood the deeper mechanics of zone (like where it should pull, where we should go, etc.).

A coach goes a very long way.

🎮 You’re with Avery Esports — how did that happen?

Yolomahdudes:

Honestly? I was just bored at home in July of 2023 and I just told my friend, “I’m joining this no-name team for fun,” and the rest is history. I’ve been in this team almost since the start, so I’m just here for fun, since I’m good friends with the owner.

Editor’s Note: Avery Esports is active in the community and has had 3x Grand Finalists. See their X account here. And while you’re at it, follow Clan Camp Gaming on X and Instagram! We have 239K on YouTube, 15K on Instagram, but only 9 on X. Oops.

🏆 The All-Time Mount Rushmore of Fortnite is…?

Yolomahdudes:

Bugha, Kami, Setty, Tayson.

🐐 Who’s the GOAT?

Yolomahdudes:

Currently? Peterbot.

Overall? It’s hard to say… like with the Mount Rushmore. It’d be something like Tayson or Bugha.

⛱️ Best Season of All Time?

Yolomahdudes:

100% Chapter 5 Season 1 — after the movement speed updates. Balanced, with the only issues being the auto shotgun, bullet drop, and grapple blade. One of my favorite seasons overall.

🔫 Best Weapon of All Time?

Yolomahdudes:

For me personally, it’s either the Combat AR from Chapter 5 Season 3, or the Hammer Pump from Chapter 5.

🔚 Final Notes

Yolomahdudes doesn’t have a creator code, otherwise we’d share it here. (Our code is CLANCAMP #EpicPartner.)

He’s not pro yet, but what he does have is an authentic love for the game, deep mechanical knowledge, and a visible presence in one of the most competitive online communities Fortnite has to offer. That’s why he’s someone to watch.
