Legacy, camping, rulesets, and transmog
Legacy
Legacy Points are shared across characters, and each character spends them in that character's own trees. At launch a character can spend 16 points. Players can keep earning points past that spending cap, up to 65 Legacy Points at the start, and those extra points feed a cosmetic reward track. Named examples include Well Rested in the Adventure tree, Bountiful Harvest in Professions, and Reagent Economy in Resourcefulness.
Camping and professions
The Basic Campfire replaces the old cooking fire as a campsite. Players sit to become rested and can receive vendors, repairs, profession stations, and one-hour buffs. Up to three crafted objects can be added, one per player, on a one-hour cooldown. The first objects are learned at profession skill 20. Blizzard says there are more than 600 new recipes across professions.
Where you play
Forever is described as realmless inside a chosen ruleset: Normal, PvP, Roleplaying, and Hardcore after launch. Characters use two-part names that are unique per region. Hardcore is enclosed. If a Hardcore character dies, that character can move to another ruleset. Collections and Legacy Points cross rulesets except that non-Hardcore progress does not flow back into Hardcore.
Transmogrification
Transmog can be configured in certain cities or disabled. Classic Mode starts with transmog disabled. Uncommon and rare bind-on-pickup dungeon appearances are granted to eligible looters when the item is looted. Epic raid appearances are granted to the player the item binds to. Armor type still has to match, and non-cosmetic high-level appearances wait until level 60.
