How many WoW Forever friend codes does each purchase include?
A WoW Forever Heroic Pack includes one Invite-A-Friend code. The Epic Pack and the Warcraft Forever Collection include three. A Heroic upgrade to Epic or the Collection adds two, for three total. An Epic upgrade to the Collection adds none. A Collector's Edition bought at a local retailer in Korea, Australia, or New Zealand is not eligible.12
Invite-A-Friend codes included
Codes included with the purchase. The US post lists two more on the Epic Pack, on top of Heroic's one. A Heroic upgrade to Epic or the Collection adds two, for three total. An Epic upgrade to the Collection adds none. The zero bar is a Collector's Edition bought at a local retailer in Korea, Australia, or New Zealand, which the support article says is not eligible. Gear Store CE is the Blizzard Gear Store Collector's Edition.
The US post names the digital packs Skyborne Heroic Pack and Skyborne Epic Pack. It calls the bundle that includes everything in the Epic Pack the Warcraft Forever Collection. The support article's name for that bundle is World of Warcraft: Forever Collection.12
The support article's opening says the codes can invite up to three friends. A later section describes six for one combination: three codes already obtained from a digital purchase, plus three more on a Collector's Edition bought from the Blizzard Gear Store. That section does not publish a total for a Heroic Pack plus a Collector's Edition.2
The Gear Store page limits that edition to one per household and lists three Invite-A-Friend Launch codes per household, plus one beta access code.4 Blizzard has not said how that household line interacts with the six-code example.2
Gift orders are not eligible, and a failed order does not receive codes. The US footnote says qualifying purchases exclude gifts and that other restrictions apply. It does not list those other restrictions.12
Where the buyer's codes are sent
On a Battle.net Shop upgrade, each code arrives in its own email to the registered Battle.net email address. The Epic example is three emails. The US post dates the start of those emails October 20, 2026, PST. A purchase after October 20 is sent shortly after the purchase. The Korean post dates its emails from October 21, 2026, Korea time.213
Gear Store Collector's Edition codes go out separately. The support article says Legends sends them, with the beta access code, to the email address used to buy the Collector's Edition, shortly after purchase. Blizzard's September 24 update says restock orders are expected to ship and be delivered in February 2027, after launch.25
How do you send and redeem a WoW Forever friend code?
Send the WoW Forever friend code from the email directly to the friend. The friend redeems it through Battle.net, or through the Battle.net app, through November 11, 2026. After that date, redeeming a code returns an error. A code can be redeemed on a single World of Warcraft account, and not on an account that has purchased any Forever upgrade.12
The support article does not publish a click-by-click redeem path, and it does not say whether a code can be redeemed from another region. It says the code goes onto a World of Warcraft account. It does not say whether that account must already hold a paid World of Warcraft license.
If the email has not arrived
Check the junk or spam folder, and check Battle.net Transaction History for an upgrade order whose status is Complete. The support article does not name a later day by which every code will have been emailed.2
On October 20, Vhesha reported one code, then edited the post to say all three had arrived. Vladrik wrote that a second email came about 20 minutes after the first.6 On October 21, Esper and Kelix wrote that opening the purchased package showed codes that had not all arrived by email.6 Jedana wrote that the purchase details included the codes and that only the last one had been emailed.7 Ashkir wrote that the Epic Pack order listed the remaining codes, that the emailed code was the third one on that list, and that the physical Collector's Edition order listed none.8 These are player reports. The support article tells buyers to use Transaction History to confirm the order is Complete. It does not say the order page prints the code strings.2
On October 26, Astorian posted on the EU forum that two accounts that had beta access still had no codes. Akahai replied that their September order was complete and that the codes were still missing. Those are player reports. The thread has no Blizzard reply.9
Battle.net Customer Support will not replace a misplaced code, a code already redeemed on another Battle.net account, or a code claimed on the wrong account. For each of those cases, the support article says an active World of Warcraft subscription grants access to World of Warcraft: Forever.2
Can you play WoW Forever free with an Invite-A-Friend code?
An invited account can play WoW Forever from November 4 through November 11, 2026, PST, without an active subscription. Blizzard does not call the code a free trial. The code is not Game Time, and it does not open any other version of World of Warcraft.21
On October 21, Dughm posted this sentence from the email that came with a code: "Your friend does not need an active World of Warcraft subscription to play. Redeeming this code will grant them access to WoW: Forever during launch week." Aarku replied that the same sentence was on the code email they had just received. That is a player report of the email.6
The US post says World of Warcraft, including Forever, requires a subscription or Game Time, and that launch access is included with either. A friend who already has one of those can play at launch without a code. Blizzard has not published any further benefit for redeeming a code on that account. Our Forever overview records the subscription rule and the two launch clocks: 3:00 p.m. PDT in Carve a New Path, and 3:00 p.m. PST in the pre-purchase post. Those clocks are the launch times. The code posts do not give the window a start time.110
The 30 days of Game Time on the Epic Pack and the Collection are added to the buyer's account, starting November 4 in the US post and November 5 in the Korean post. Those 30 days are not described as part of the friend's code.13
On September 15, u/TheJoYo wrote on r/wowforever that the codes are for release week rather than the beta, and that someone who already has a subscription would already be in for that week. The comment ends by asking whether the codes are for people without an active subscription. That is community commentary.11
What can an invited WoW Forever player not do?
An invited WoW Forever player cannot use the code for Skyborne or its starting-zone quests, for Game Time or any other version of World of Warcraft, or for beta access. Early Name Reservation is a separate upgrade benefit. The support article does not list it as something a code grants.21
The published combinations are on our race and class guide.
Early Name Reservation is a separate upgrade benefit. The US post includes it with any upgrade and dates it October 27 through November 3, 2026, PST, for up to three characters. Those dates end the day before the US code window starts. The support article does not list name reservation as something a code grants. Regional clocks and the shared three-character pool are in our name-reservation guide.1
No published answer on characters
Blizzard has not said whether a character created with a code remains after November 11, and it has not published a character cap for that window. The three-character figure is the reservation cap. Rulesets, Legacy Points, and the level cap Blizzard has described for the game are in the launch-systems guide. The support article and the pre-purchase post do not say a friend code changes those systems.
Do WoW Forever Invite-A-Friend codes include beta access?
WoW Forever Invite-A-Friend codes do not include beta access. Beta access is on the Epic Pack and the Warcraft Forever Collection. The US post dates that beta September 17, 2026, PST, through October 21, 2026, PST. The Korean post dates it September 18 through October 22, 2026, Korea time, and says the beta start can differ by region.123
What happens to a WoW Forever friend code after November 11?
Access from a WoW Forever Invite-A-Friend code ends on November 11, 2026. The codes are also deactivated if the buyer's order is refunded or charged back, and the support article does not limit that deactivation to after November 11. Neither the pre-purchase post nor the support article says that subscribing after November 11 keeps a character made with a code.21
On October 23, Tango71 asked on the US forum whether the friend could keep the same account and characters after November 11 with a standard subscription and no Skyborne pack, and wrote that the published text only covered November 4 through 11. GinzoKazama and Æonic replied that play continues on a subscription and that the packs are the listed extras. Those replies are player comments. Blizzard has not answered the thread.12
