Before WoW Forever's November 4 downtime, pre-download the game and finish a name reservation if one is still open. Log in at 3:00 p.m. PST if the maintenance ends on time, and expect lag and congestion at that login.1
- Pre-download WoW Forever before Wednesday. Every player can, including people who did not pre-order a Skyborne pack for beta access. In Battle.net, select World of Warcraft, then install the WoW: Forever game version.13
- Check the PC cutoffs in the system requirements article before that install. Pack prices are in the editions article.
- Reserve a name on November 2 if you still need one. @Warcraft posted that day that Early Name Reservation closes then, and that three characters can be locked in. Slot rules are in the name-reservation article.3
- If the maintenance is extended, check @BlizzardCS and the Wowhead post.51
