What did the October 26 WoW Forever racial pass change?
The October 26 WoW Forever racial pass changes
Human,
Dwarf, Tauren,
Orc, and Skyborne. Kaivax wrote that some races "will naturally be slightly more effective than others at certain combat roles." Sword Specialization and Axe Specialization stay out. The post does not name a client build or a go-live time.1
Kaivax calls the post a final pass. The reason for leaving weapon specializations out is that loot tables should not be judged by "required" weapon types.1 Pairings for these races are on the races and classes guide.
Night Elf,
Gnome,
Undead, and
Troll are not in the October 26 list.1
| Race | Change in the October 26 notes |
|---|---|
| Human | Ruthless critical chance is 1% (was 2%). Human Spirit is 10% (was 5%). |
| Dwarf | Earth Fury, 2% critical damage and healing, is removed. Artisan's Precision adds 1% hit with spells and attacks. |
| Tauren | Plainsrunning is 2% speed per stack, cap 60% (was 1% and 30%), and no longer raises mounted speed. Endurance is 5% health only. |
| Orc | Savage, a 1% critical strike chance, is removed. Command returns at 5% |
| Skyborne | Wind-Blessed Haste is 2% (was 3%). Read Leyline's base regen is 50% for 15 seconds (was 100%). Skysight is 15% speed for 15 seconds (was 10%). |
World of Warcraft: Forever launches November 4, 2026. That overview keeps both clocks Blizzard has published for launch day. Reservation times and the three-character cap are in the name-reservation guide.
How fast is Tauren Plainsrunning after the October 26 pass?
Tauren Plainsrunning now grants 2% movement speed per stack, up from 1%, and the cap is a 60% increase, up from 30%. The October 26 notes also say Plainsrunning no longer increases mounted movement speed. Endurance keeps 5% increased health and loses its other modifiers. The notes do not say how long a stack takes to build.1
Endurance "no longer provides any modifiers beyond 5% increased Health," and the parentheses name hit chance and critical damage as the modifiers that are gone. The notes do not print the old hit percent.1 The leveling-class article is about beta class reports and does not include this speed change.
Wowhead reader Etamalgren wrote that Plainsrunning is "going to be broken once Forever releases." That sentence is a comment on Wowhead's reprint, not a line in the development notes.2
Did Orc Command come back in WoW Forever?
Orc Command is back in the October 26 notes, and it increases
Warlock and
Hunter pet damage by 5%. Savage, a 1% critical strike chance, is removed. The notes say Command was "re-added," so this pet bonus is returning rather than appearing for the first time. They do not print a new number for any other Orc racial.1
Human Ruthless drops from 2% critical chance to 1%. Human Spirit rises from 5% Spirit to 10%.
Dwarf loses Earth Fury, which the notes describe as 2% increased critical damage and healing, and gains Artisan's Precision at 1% hit with spells and attacks.1
orc racial is huge for BM hunters and literally useless for everyone else lol
Wren wrote that on the Wowhead reprint. It is a reader comment. The notes themselves only state the 5% pet-damage figure for Warlock and Hunter.21
What changed for Skyborne Read Leyline and Skysight?
The October 26 notes set Skyborne Wind-Blessed Haste at 2%, down from 3%. Read Leyline now increases mana and health regeneration by 50%, down from 100%, for 15 seconds. It cannot be used while Innervate is active, and the notes say it "will be replaced by Innervate as a more powerful effect."1
Used at a ley line, Read Leyline also grants Attuned for 1 hour. While Attuned, the regeneration increase is 100%. Attuned persists through death. The notes do not say Attuned lengthens the 15-second effect.1
Skysight is a 15% movement-speed increase, up from 10%, for 15 seconds. Used at an elemental convergence, it also grants Charged for 1 hour, and while Charged the speed increase is 30%. Charged persists through death. The notes do not say Charged lengthens the 15-second effect.1
The notes list Read Leyline and Skysight together under Skyborne. This site's Skyborne article assigns Read Ley Line to High Order Skyborne and Skysight to Windshaper Skyborne. That article's September sources list Wind Blessed at 1% haste. The October 26 notes use 3% as the previous haste number and set the new number at 2%.31
